The original version had two distinctive features: an oversized crown allowing the gandate airmen to set the watch and a central needle pointing to a date scale on the periphery of the dial. This model has become the signature of Oris, an icon of Swiss watchmaking and a synonym for beautiful watchmaking, functional and timeless. Today, the Big Crown point date receives one of the most important evolutions of its illustrious history. The new 38 mm model is equipped with the 403 caliber - which is part of the 400 Caliber series, a series of high performance automatic movements designed internally. The 403 caliber is used for the first time in the Hölstein Edition 2021 watch, an edition composed of 250 pieces, but this is the first time it appears in a collection. The watch includes the following complications: a small second and a point date. Like all Caliber 400 series movements, the 403 caliber has a high anti-magnetic resistance, a five-day power reserve and a 10-year warranty. The recommended maintenance intervals are also 10 years and its accuracy is -3 / + 5 seconds a day, which would allow it to easily pass the tests of a stopwatch.
